Sustainability at Green Badger
At Green Badger, we do our best to walk the walk and to espose the sustainability values that we offer in our products. The following sustainbility initiatives compliment the other efforts we make daily to reduce our carbon footprint. From our employees walking, biking, and telecommuting to collaborating with local nonprofits on community litter pickups and renewable energy installations, we will continue to do our part.
Support a carbon-neutral business
We calculated the carbon emissions of our company across our office use, business travel, and employee commutes and then partnered with Schneider Electric to offset our carbon emissions. We encourage our employees to live more sustainably as well by working remote, using low-carbon transit (or walking!), volunteering (participating in litter pickup events is a favorite), and supporting local craft breweries!
In addition, our software is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) who currently operate with 50% renewable energy and are committed to achieving 100% renewable energy usage for their global infrastructure. AWS also focuses on reducing the number of servers they use and by powering them more efficiently, as these factors are at least as important to reducing their carbon impact as their power mix.

Help Green Badger plant a forest
We partner with One Tree Planted to plant 10 trees for every new Green Badger subscription. Planting trees on 0.9 billion hectares of land could trap about two-thirds the amount of carbon released by human activities since the start of the Industrial Revolution.
Not only do we want to help plant trees, but we want to help regenerate the ecosystem that surrounds us here in the southeast. That’s why we’re working with One Tree Planted to plant trees in our neighboring state of Florida which is home to 37 state forests, covering over 1,070,000 acres. In recent years, unhealthy forests have been major contributors to Florida’s disastrous wildfires and unprecedented outbreaks of southern pine beetles. The region is frequently hit by strong storms and hurricanes, contributing severe, long-term damage to forest resources.
