Utility Resilience and an Ocean Reef: Ajax/STO Building Group Case Study

Caset Study Overview: The OUC Fleet Operations & Maintenance project was designed to be a net-zero facility with multiple certifications, incorporating high-efficiency MEP systems, EV charging, and extensive BIPV to support energy goals. Coordinating sustainability efforts across varied building types presented documentation, construction, and compliance challenges—especially with high volumes of submittals. Green Badger played a dual role, offering a digital platform for real-time LEED tracking and expert consulting to ensure accuracy, reduce rework, and eliminate certification risk. Notably, Ajax repurposed nearly 400 tons of construction waste into the Starship II Reef and firefighter training structures, aligning environmental impact with community benefit. The combined software and support from Green Badger enabled Ajax to streamline certification workflows, reduce internal workload, and focus on delivering innovative sustainability outcomes.
